Don’t Let Worry Run Your Life



Has worry caused anxiety at one time or another for you?  Worry thoughts are really thoughts about possible future events.  They have not happened yet.  They are irrelevant in this moment.

Worry thoughts can create much unease if they run on.  Don’t let worry run your life.  We have been taught by those with good intensions to consider our future, so we can plan for a good future.  When we let our plans run our lives, worry can set in.

Life events don’t always go as planned. The Divine has very effective ways to meet our desires.  The criteria they use, is the highest and best for all with harm to none.  So whenever our plans don’t meet our original expectations, it may be because that there is a more effective way for our desires to come about.

Have you ever noticed that over time, you are able to look back and see that the way things worked out was much better than you ever imagined?  Even when life seems to be negative, it usually works out for the better.

That is why worry is a useless emotion.  It only has a purpose of causing unease and mistrust in one’s self.  This is different than concern, which is a momentary emotion that occurs in the present time.  Concern is positive in that it tells you to be cautious about things you see in the current moment.  What just happened now or what information did you receive just now?  That is concern.

Concerns tell you to make adjustments or change course with your current actions.  When we stay present with ourselves, we still allow concerns to come in, and can stop worry thoughts from controlling our life.

If worry thoughts come into your mind, try observing them as if they belonged to someone else.  When you do this, you settle your mind and become present with yourself.  So you don’t have to let worry run your life.

Worry also puts us living our life for a future. We keep the joyful moments that could happen now for the promise of a better future event.  I am sure you know many people who live their whole life refraining from the present moments.  Their minds and actions are based on planning better futures.  The let the future plans capture their attention.  They forget to stop and smell the roses.

Take your worries and let them pass through you  Tell yourself their truth, that they have not happened.  You are fine in the present moment.  Don’t let worry run your life.
